The small furry room is the room next to the guinea pigs, where the available "small furries" are kept.

These are usually a mixture of rats, mice, gerbils, hamsters, degu's, jirds and chinchillas.

We try to keep all our small animals in the size of accommodation that we would like adopters to keep them in as we feel it is extremely important that they be allowed to exhibit normal behaviour as far as possible.

Obviously we could never give them the ideal - but we can provide rats with things to climb on, and gerbils with deep litter so they can make tunnels.

The staff in this area are very knowledgeable, and are happy to give advice on how to keep any of the small animals.
